Unexploded bomb halts earthmoving work at new site

The WDR reports...

An American ten-hundredweight bomb from the Second World War unexpectedly halted work at our new site on Bataverstraße in Neuss for a brief period. The bomb disposal team quickly made the bomb safe, but the find caused congestion for commuters due to the closure of the surrounding roads, including the A52 motorway. 350 residents were also evacuated, and a further 2000 were forbidden from leaving their homes during the controlled detonation.
