For NAUMANN STAHL, high-quality and high-strength steel is the very foundation on which modern life is built. But it isn’t everything.
A company can only be as good as its employees. “Our employees are empowered to make decisions and work in a very team-orientated way. This approach boosts motivation and explains why we have an incredibly low staff turnover. Trust in our employees is the key to our success”, says Board Chairman and Co-Owner Jost Salzmann.
Doing business in a way that does not harm our planet is also important to NAUMANN STAHL: When we built our new headquarters in Neuss, we went above and beyond the obligatory environmental compensation requirements and created a large green space on the site. In addition to planting established trees, including a 50-year-old pin oak, thousands of flowering shrubs and a wildflower meadow now provide an important food source for the local animal and insect population.
Nature is something that is close to the hearts of the family that owns our company, so no expense was spared when landscaping the outdoor space on our new site. The new company headquarters was designed not only as a base for a steel company and its employees, but also as a space where the team could relax during their breaks. This sustainable approach has a positive impact on nature and the microclimate in the area, and also on the climate within the company. In short: This new oasis is an eye-catching green addition to the industrial site on Bataverstrasse in Neuss.
Water management also has a huge role to play in the fight against climate change. Our rainwater is routed into an enormous infiltration basis and immediately fed into the groundwater. The water is also used as process water, and our planted area is irrigated using water from wells on the site.
